MORE NEW PORO STUFF?
Apparently there are even more new poro wards coming out. Whether you're a fan of the current poro hype or not, Riot's going to keep pumping our more and more wonderfully pointless extras based on the furry little nubbins!!

Snowdown 2014 is over
Unfortunately Snowdown 2014 is over now, not only taking away the lovely snow themed HUD, but also removing all of the Snowdown skins and icons from the store, along with the Legend of the Poro King game mode. The LOL website left this little note to mark the end of the season.
"Say farewell to your friends, for Snowdown has passed.
The Legend of the Poro King conquered at last.
We won some, we lost some, we tossed many poros.
Some landed and some missed, that is just how it goes.
Who really won this Snowdown? Only the poros know.
Every single game, a unique Snowdown surprise.
The year may be over, but only Amumu cries--
Even if it's over, we learned one thing at the end:
Snowdown gathers strangers, but we all leave as friends.

Snowdown is here
Snowdown 2014 is finally here, with the release of three new skins (one each for Malzahar, Sejuani, and Oriana)
along with the new temporary game mode; Legend of the Poro King, and some lovely new icons and ward skins. The Poros are getting a lot of love this Snowdown; pretty much everything is Poro related!

A New Sion
Seeing as how Sion has been given a complete overhaul, I thought why not make the first post on this site about him?
To be honest, I never played Sion before his update, mainly because of his terrible design and how bad I used to be with slow, tanky champs. I always thought he was just badly designed, and seeing as how I never saw him played until his redo was announced, I imagine that I wasn't the only one who thought this. His splash art was lacking (the hair was doing nothing for him), his movements were janky, and his abilities just weren't able to stand up in the current meta. He was just overall bad and in need of a revamp.
Thankfully, that's what he got. Not only is his new design powerful to look at, but it gives him a new feel as a character. He still moves awkwardly, but now it feels like it's on purpose. They also fixed up his abilities; He's now actually good. He now has a clear idea of who he is, and how he should be built. And his ult, oh his ult! Now people actually want to put a point into it when they can, instead of just leaving it to the end. There's nothing more frightening than when you hear that 'bong' signalling that he's started his ult, especially if you're standing in the river.
All in all, I'm glad that he's been given some love. It's nice to see old and ugly characters (no offence Sion) given a new lease of life. At least now he'll be played (or overplayed, I've seen him in the past 15 games I've played) and hopefully he'll change the game up for the better.
GG.
